DIY LED bike light update: FAIL

What you see here is the components that make up the 8 watt MR16 LED lamp that I used to replace the halogen bulb in my DIY bike light. I took it apart because I found that the beam pattern was all wrong for commuting. Now worries, though. Remember the old prototypers’ credo “fail early and often”. Now I have some parts that I can play with to try and create something really special. In the meantime I’m back to the old halogen setup- which works quite well. Click through to my DIY LED bike light page for more details (and to find out what that pile of grey crap is).
