iPhone status screen mock-up
I love my iPhone but the fact that I have to click a button and then slide to unlock everytime I want to see if I have any messages, appointments and/or missed calls drives me nuts! Blackberries have included new message indicators on the keyboard unlock screen for years. Why can’t my fancy iPhone do the same thing? I mocked-up this simple example to show how this might work. All I’d have to do is click the home or sleep/wake button and the slide to unlock screen would pop up with an overlay showing me unread message counts and a snippet of each message. Obviously, if there were no new messages in a particular category that icon would not be displayed. Come on Apple, this is such a simple feature that would greatly improve the usability of the iPhone!
As the former VP of Design for the largest iPod & iPhone accessory brand you’d think Apple might value this sort of input. They don’t.
PS: I’m looking for a job so be sure to check out my resume if you’re interested :-)

I just wanted to see what the O Dig Me thing was about!
September 14th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
From the http://www.digg.com website:
“Digg is a place for people to discover and share content from anywhere on the web. From the biggest online destinations to the most obscure blog, Digg surfaces the best stuff as voted on by our users. You won’t find editors at Digg — we’re here to provide a place where people can collectively determine the value of content and we’re changing the way people consume information online.”

No. As usual Apple is waiting to copy from deva on Cydia. Nothing I original anymore from apple on the iPhone. They’ve copied all the great ideas they won’t approve. Shame in apple.
The phone has a db. Insert records and let the phone display them. How difficultbis that!!
